MyDataQ Phones: standardisation of telephone numbers in your database

What is it?

The Phones module is a solution for the normalisation, cleaning and correction of telephone numbers in a database. This solution assigns the area code, eliminates non-numeric characters, identifies the type of normalised telephone (landline, mobile….) and provides a reliability indicator that informs on the normalisation status of the number in question.

How does it work?

By establishing rules applied to the telephone number data, non-numeric characters are removed from the telephone and the number is then cross-referenced with a master containing the telephones in the database provided by the Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFETEL). Finally, based on the results of the cross-referencing, the degree of validation or reliability of the processed telephone is assigned, classifying it according to the percentage of probability of generating erroneous calls.
